Let's go on a trip to America

A two hour drive to Sydney to jump on a 2 hour flight to New Zealand for a 3 hour lay over and some crappy food and coffee. From New Zealand on to a 12 hour flight to L.A.X.   this kid is beat and it's only a small bite of whats about to come. Welcome back to America !!
From 2 lane or 3 lane freeways in Australia, to 6 or 7 lane freeways in America and truckers who wont mess around.
As if our first meal wouldn't be some tasty IN N OUT.
Z man's first In n out
From the look on his face, I would say he likes it... happy kid for sure
Our trip was a stop and go trip, small hellos and fast goodbyes. But I had to make my way to Bernie's house. I can't tell you how happy I was to see this man ! Super happy for him to finally meet my family. Love you Bern Dog and miss you heaps !  Z Man made himself at home really fast, started pretending to make Bernie and his wife Nancy some coffee and cake. If it was real, I think we would have all been bouncing off the walls.    We also stopped into see the Crowders and our friends Chelle and Glenn. I for some reason don't have and pictures of them, but our visits were spectacular !

Two days before we landed in L.A.X. the air conditioner broke in James sister's car. She gave us the car for the trip. So we thought it would be fine, just the air from outside. Little did we know how how September was in California. We then decided we needed to beat the heat through Vegas. We woke up before there was any sign of the sun. Left Big Bear at 5:15 am and drove in hopes to run from the heat.
As you can see in this picture... we did NOT beat the heat and could not run from it. Lots of water and Air from the windows. My Grandpa likes to call it the 250, Two windows down at 50 MPH. But James and I thought it would help if we took it that much further. Three windows down at 75 MPH.  It did Help, but still felt a little like hell ;)
HOT and still happy. You can tell the kids we unhappy about the heat and yet they still managed to keep a smile on their faces.
After two days of driving we met up with my Friend Gina and her little family. Z man and Russel may not have remembered each other, but they formed a friendship like they have known each other for years and years. Little munchkins for sure
10 months old in this picture and already telling me how it is.
FREEZE !!!
Back to playing
I just loved watching this little friendship grow. By the time we left they were best friends and Z man couldn't stop talking about Russel.
Z man becomes Spiderman and says "lets get matching tattoos "
Being the great friends they are.. matching tattoos it is !!
One night is not enough times to spend with my friends. If I could have at least a week with each friend, it might be easier. But I'm so happy I got a day with Gina ! Miss you GINA !!!!
After Utah we drove 8 hours up to Salmon Idaho to my Grandparents ! Z man warmed right up to Grandpa who Z man calls Papa Weeks. In this picture Z man is teaching Papa how to use the ipad.. so funny
Love and miss my family ! I miss the Friendship Z man made with Papa Weeks ! and I think Papa loved it too.
Me, Eira and my Grandma Weeks, with my Mom and Grandma's Sisters. The original giggle sisters.
Papa and Z.... and Ice Cream
For some reason Grandpa is the parent whisperer. I did not care that my little Z man had about 10 Ice Cream cones. Just another Papa Weeks thing. I know Z man just loves it, Even Little Miss Eira got a tiny taste of ice cream...
I think he is giving tips on the future.
Walking through the apple trees and the garden..
It's missing the egg, but this has always been and always will be my most favorite breakfast in the world. We like to call them Grandpa and Grandma's poo cakes ! and the pink stuff is Grandma's homemade Heavenly syrup. I can almost smell it just looking at this picture. I can tell you when we left Salmon, we left with full belly's and huge smiles on our faces. We ate like kings while we were there and loved every bite !!
Grandpa giving James the facts of life.. I think it was " A happy wife, A happy life" or the best thing to say is " Yes dear "
Yet another amazing feast from Grandma and Grandpa. He just knows how to cook a fish ! The best Salmon in the world is from Grandpa ( Papa Weeks) Thank you Grandpa, I can't wait to get back there !!
Dinner and a view, the best view
Exploring the grandparents back yard with the kids... Z man loved it because he got to toss rocks as far as he could.
Salmon River and the Stevo's
Walking back to the house... love this walk
I never lived here, but this place will always feel like home to me. Love coming to Grandma and Grandpa's
Looking for the horses and donkeys
I love my Grandma so much, We had the best time visiting them. My mom drove up to meet us, so we got to spend a few extra days together before the wedding and I just loved seeing them all. Grandma I love you and I miss you. Thank you so much for such an amazing visit !
Grandpa seeing us off as we drive away. Thank you both so much !!

Our little boy is growing up so fast. I think he will be towering over me any day now
Nan and Gramps took us out for some Mexican food... Gramps (bugga) is always ready to entertain the little ones.
Z man was given his first skateboard from a friend of our  ... Thanks Steve. Z man just loves it and is always asking to go for a skate. But so far I let him play with it in his room. Less pain full for the time being. Soon I will have on choice but to let him go to the skate park
muffin and a steamed milk is the perfect way to end a day... nothing like street side sitting and enjoying a drink and a snack with your little man.
Dad met up with us and surprised Miss Eira... she is super pumped Dad is here
Really no words for the last two pictures. I know they are our kids, but heck... they are amazing.
Dad giving Z man some tips for riding skateboard on a hill

Nan was helping Eira walk on the grass. She doesn't like the feel of the grass on her hands, so she was looking for help to get up. but she was trying. She cold walk perfectly at home, but on the grass is a whole other story .
Working it out
Now with style... a little bit of dance and she's good to go
Getting ready to fly back to America
Z man likes to have his own table now for steamed milk. He left us to  enjoy a sit by himself... he loved it.
No chance of coming back to hang out with me and Nan
Yes, my kids already know what face to give to get anything they want. Here she is getting Nan to take her out of the stroller, works like a charm every time ;)
Little Miss Eira and Z man wanted to stay with Nan at work. So they took off up the stairs in hopes to stay with Nan.
So close !
It's winter time still and my kids are in shorts already. I can't say I'm excited about coming back to summer weather.. I'm not ready for the heat. I would say Little Miss Eira is
