A Train ride for Z man

To Start off our weekend we walked down the street to a cafe in the Junction. We got a huge muffin to share... But Z man thought it was all his. Amazingly he was more then happy to share with Mom and Dad.

Just to see how much he could get in before he shared

It's not an outing to the cafe without a Babycino !! Zeric just loves getting a drink like everyone else.

Jameso enjoying his day off with his family, his Vanilla Latte and a muffin full of fatty goodness.

We decided to take Zeric for a train ride into see Nan and Gramps !! Here James and Z are waiting for the bus...

He was so pumped to get on that huge bus he always sees when we are out. He loves to wave to them. So to be on one... this was so new and fun !

Dad and Zeric looking out the window and watching Newcastle go by

Z man was so kind, Said thank you to the bus driver and waved bye as we were dropped off at Newcastle Train station

Zeric Showing Dad how to buy the train tickets

When we walked onto the platforms Zeric's eyes just lit right up ! as he said "TRAIN !"
He didn't know what to do when he saw more then one train.

When we asked him if he wanted to get onto one, he sat there trying to figure out what we were asking him and then he said " On?" with a smile

Getting ready for his first train ride with Dad

I got the fake cheesy grin because he had his eye on a treat... but it was still fun taking him on the train

Happy boy

Saying Bye to the train and thank you

It took him a second... but when he saw Gramps waiting for us. he lost it ! you can see him jumping and trying to run faster

We got to Nan and Gramps where they got him a new golf set for their house and a sweet camping chair... just his size. He went right to the back yard and started showin his skills

Gramps giving him a few tips on the swing

This monster here is a BABY huntsman spider... I had James take the picture because I ran off screaming. The Snakes and Spiders.... and Bats are all mutated here in Australia. As you can see... this creature is a baby.

Gramps telling him that this is a good spider and it doesn't harm humans... As for me, anything with 6 + legs... I run

The Queens Birthday

The Long Weekend... The Queens Birthday. Call it what you want to, but James got two extra days off of the weekend. So we put our heads together and made some huge plans for the four days together. We decided to take Zeric to the Sydney Zoo on Saturday. This is the night before our Zoo trip and the two are out for the count !

The day of our Sydney trip and we had to cancel it due to the massive rain storm going on outside. BUMMER. So James and Zeric played the morning away, jumping on the couch, watching some cartoons and making a huge Breakfast for the three of us.

I thought we should still do something for Zeric because our Sydney trip was put on hold. I thought we could make our way to the train station and take Z man on a train ride into see Nan and Gramps. So we got our plans all sorted out and just before we left, we checked on the times of our train ride and we then saw that there was track work all weekend long.... No train ride for us..... BUMMER
So Z man found new ways to entertain all of us. He was taking his toy box and dumping his toys all over the house. Making it look like our house was hit by a toy bomb. Then he would take his little fold out couch and play peek a boo. it never gets old

The next day we had a very small break in the weather and decided to jump on our bikes and take a small ride. We did get a little rained on... but we still had a heap of fun. When we got home Z man was loving the stairs and wanted to walk up and down them about 30 times. Here are Zeric and Dad after our bike ride. Z man just loves his Dad so much.. Best mates for sure.

I had to get a picture in with my little boy. My little partner in crime

You can see a little bit of the Zeric toy bomb and how it was just tooooooooo much work for him.

Zeric loves to get his stuffed animals and place them on his couch and sit with them. Some times he will cover them up and watch a movie with them.

My Happy little boy

Well James and I were sad we didn't get to drive Zeric to Sydney and spend a day at the Zoo. We are also sad our train ride fell through for Zeric. But we ended up having a great time the three of us. We rented some movies on the really rainy nights and made some hot coco for our winter warmers. Any time with this kid is time well spent !

The First weekend of June (winter)

James had to go away for work and it was just me and Z man. I decided to make some Raspberry crisp and my little helper decided he wanted to help Mama ... Clean ;) He was my little dish washer.

Every weekend, Rain or shine.. we go for a little bike ride around the beaches. It's become our little family thing. We stop by Cafe's and the beaches and the whole time Z man just enjoys and takes it all in. We ride by trains, boats and water... All three Zeric just loves. He screams out train when he see's one and screams our water and laughs when we ride up to the beach.

We stopped out Newcastle beach to watch the surf for a little bit and Zeric ended up getting a little treat for being so good... in this picture he is more worried about his treat.

At Newcastle Beach a surfer getting ready to make the leap into the surf...

At Nobby's beach just around the corner... can you see the guy in the wave ?

Gramps or Bugga as Z man calls him. Making their way around the Hudson's pool. We went over for some going away drinks and snacks for Patrick, He takes off to Europe for 2 1/2 years. So the whole time we were there Zeric kept asking anyone and everyone to take him to the pool... when finally Gramps gave in.

We ended up with a happy boy and some soaking sleeves ;)

The only 30 seconds of Zeric being calm.. but it was so cute. Hanging out with his cousin Luke and loving every second of it.
I do have more pictures from this day, but they were all so blurry ! I had a great time getting to see some of the family and catching up with them. I hope Pat has a great time up north and on the other side of the world... send me a post card !
