A little catching up with Z

Zeric and Aunty Chook at the bus stop just down the street from our house. Chook has been wanting to be in our blog for so long now and this is the only picture I have of her in the back ground... the camera Died just after this photo. But when She randomly shows her face around here, we love it ! Zeric loves his Aunty.... I guess I do too ;) hee hee.

I Love to make it into town when the sun is out! and I love to meet up with Noelene at her work. If I time it just right we can catch her on her lunch break. So this is just out front of her work. P.s. Zeric is best mates with all of Nan's co-workers

I must Say I think Nan... LOVES being a Nan. Zeric is their first grandchild and both Colin and her are amazing with him and everything they do for us.

Dad (James) Loves making Zeric his little babyccinos. and Zeric loves it even more !

Now who do you think Zeric looks like ? these two boys make my life so happy !! I love being married to James and I love being Zeric's Mama ! I think we have a pretty great team going here ;)

OK the World Cup for soccer is on and James and I watch this religiously ! I don't like watching it any other time other then the world cup. I hate the Drama Queens who play in the Sport. but I love it when the world comes together to cheer for their Countries ! I love cheering for America in Australia and I love Cheering for Australia... I only hope each team gets better luck ! oyes and Zeric loves to watch it too !! this is his Socceroos scarf and he is ready to cheer for the home team.
This is a day out in town with Dad ! and this is Zeric's look ! he will pull this face anytime you want him to smile for the camera ! little munchkin !

Well I got to make a new Breakfast for James and I. For all who know me, you know we love German pancakes and the German pancakes the fluff up in the oven. But From what I have been learning from a Friend of mine who is German... Josephine. The pancakes I make all the time, they are from a certain region of Germany and she gave me a recipe from her region. we cook them in a pan and sprinkle sugar on top and then serve with apple sauce !!! yes apple sauce ! and it was so good !! I love getting recipes from around the world.
We got another recipe from my friend Kathy who lives in Italy. She sent a recipe for a pasta sauce that dated back a while ago and James decided to make it. He didn't want a photo put on here just in case it was wrong. But when we tasted it, we died and when to food heaven. yes I said there's a heaven for food. James loves to cook new recipes from around the world and I love eating them ;) hee hee

Finally a sunny day in Newcastle ! We decided to take a drive around town and we ended up at the beach just down the street from our house. Bar Beach is the beach I like to go to when I feel brave and want to go for a swim. But I'm still afraid of the ocean.

This is what Zeric thinks of the toys we buy him. we think it will be a great learning toy and he turns is into a seat.

A Day With Nan

Noelene had a day off of work and decided to come over and get Zeric and I for a day out. We first hit Juicy Beans Cafe where the people there know Zeric oh so well. Nan got Zeric his very own Babyccino. Don't worry, there's no coffee in it. All it is , is Milk and milk froth with Chocolate sprinkled on top. Zeric loves to go out to the cafe with us, he get's to get a big boy drink now.

Now let's just say Zeric thought he should drink out of his cup like Nan. He took both hands and picked up his tiny cup... oops I mean big boy cup and right to the face without any thought. A nice chocolate ring on the face makes for such a great laugh and pictures.


My little Vampire V hair ! such a crack up, But I knew we had to get it cut. Not only am I going to miss his vampire V, but I am going to miss his mullet too.... maybe


The thing with deciding randomly to get your kids hair cut, you have to find a place that will cut baby's hair and there's really no such thing as a walk in anymore. but we were lucky to get a walk in. we only had to wait 20 mins. BUT with a 20 minute wait with a 16 month old baby can seem like an hour when there's no way to keep him happy. Luckily Nan was on top of the baby entertainment and had Zeric in the trolly in no time.

But that only lasted so long before Zeric was out of the trolly and showing Nan how the trolly pushing was really done...

This lasted for about 15 mins and the other 5 mins were chasing birds and screaming at them. This little kid has such a thing for birds... oooooo oooooo oooooo !!!!

Finally ready to get his FIRST hair cut ! he knows something is going to happen to him, you can see it in his face.

I wanted Nan to take him on her lap so he could see me while the lady cut. He did so great ! as long as I was there and made some faces here and there and some peek-a-boo. Plus I had to take the pictures !
He loves seeing himself in the mirror, this cracks me up every time he sees a mirror. He will smile, giggle and even a little kiss. he knows he's cute ;)

The cape only lasted so long as well, he had that off with in seconds. so when the hair cut was done, we had no choice but to go and buy him a new shirt. Thank you Nan !

He looks like such a little boy now and that baby face is growing up ! It feels like he grows a foot each week. He is turning into such a character and he knows he has most everyone wrapped around his finger... including me and Nan.

First weekend in June.... Winter !!!

Yes, this is our son who loves to brush his teeth! We have taught him the sign for brushing teeth and he will walk to the bathroom and do the sign until we hand him a toothbrush. oyes and he makes a shhh shhh shhh noise when he does the sign... so cute.

This last weekend we really kept it laid back and relax. The weather was off and on rain and really bad T.V. So when we got a break in the rain, we walked down to some Markets just at the end of our street. There's everything from gourmet foods, foods from around the world, fine coffees, Arts and crafts every where you look ! and much much more. The only downer was Zeric was so grumby because he's teething like crazy !! i can see about 4 coming in at the same time. Poor little bugger :(

While we were at the Markets, met up with friends (Alex) and try new foods and enjoy the live music. This weekend we got to try a Russian Food. So yummy !! I can't remember the name of what it was. But It was like a sort of Crepe, but with Spinach and Cheese! We love being able to try foods from around the world and Share so much of the world with our son.

CHOO CHOO !!!! James and I could NOT say no to Zeric when he loves this little train so much. the Smile on his face when it started moving was worth a million words. I would put him on that train again and again.... then I would make him wash his hands !!

The Picture below is Zeric with his new Hat !! Now that we are getting into winter we had to get him a new hat to keep his little head warm. He's our little mountain man !

He loves peek a boo ! and his new shirt !

My little Golfer... Zeric will walk around the house for hours hitting golf balls every where ! he will count to 3 before he swings " daa dooo deeeee !! " he's almost there.

Being a mom is the best thing in the world ! James and I love being parents to such an amazing little munchkin. We look forward to every weekend because the three of us get to do so much together. if that means movies on a rainy day or going to markets to enjoy other parts of the world or just watching Zeric whack some golf balls around. It's time together and that's all that matters. oya and Zeric is such a daddy's mate on the weekend !!! wants dad and dad only!

A good way to end the weekend with a spoon full of Ice Cream !!! Had no clue Zeric found James bowl with only a little melted Ice cream. But to Zeric , it was a dream come true ! He was so funny scooping up nothing, but making so much out of it.
